Instructions
- 1. Marinate the mutton with yogurt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt for at least 1 hour.
- 2. Heat ghee or oil in a large pan. Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
- 3. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook until the raw smell disappears.
- 4. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft.
- 5. Add marinated mutton and biryani masala. Cook until the mutton is browned and tender.
- 6. Cook rice separately until 70% done.
- 7. Layer the partially cooked rice over the mutton mixture. Add saffron strands, chopped coriander, and mint leaves.
- 8. Cover and cook on low heat until the rice is fully cooked and the flavors meld together.
- 9. Serve hot with raita or salad.
