Instructions

  1. 1. Cook toor dal with enough water until soft and mushy.
  2. 2. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
  3. 3. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  4. 4. Add chopped tomatoes and green chili. Cook until tomatoes are soft.
  5. 5. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Stir well.
  6. 6. Add the cooked dal and mix well.
  7. 7. Let it simmer for 10-15 minutes, adjusting the consistency with water as needed.
  8. 8. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  9. 9. Serve hot with rice or roti.
